Applications

Ibis and Lupa cameras can be used in cases where speed requirements cannot be met with serially scanned systems (CCD sensor) and within a reasonable budget.Ibis technology leads the pack when the system budget requires a low chip-count solution and precludes an expensive camera/frame-grabber combination. Ideal in harsh environments, where analogue data exchange is prohibited. Compactness, ruggedness, lightweight and low energy consumption are important features for meeting system specifications.

These features are useful in most machine vision applications.

For the following applications, Ibis or Lupa cameras have been used instead of CCD cameras because of their special features:

(We have only listed the applications that we know of.)
